To create realistic opportunities for the youth in sport/ education with an effort to assist them in achieving their goals and inspire the confidence to pursue their dreams.

About Us

The Ezekiel Ansah Foundation, named after its founder, was established in 2016 with Registrars General Department of the Republic of Ghana. Its aim is to provide support and exposure to the youth in the field of Sports and Education. These areas, without being exclusive, are the focus areas of the Ezekiel Ansah Foundation.


The former head of Sport Directorate of the University of Ghana and the Deputy Director of the Ministry of Youth and Sport, Dr. Emmanuel Owusu Ansah on the 7th March 2017, deputized for the Sports Minister to successfully launch the Ezekiel Ansah Foundation.

Our Projects

Football Camp

The 2-day inaugural Ezekiel Ansah Football Camp had more than 500 participants from various school in the Accra metropolis. The students enjoyed lots of giveaways and had fun learning the game of football. The aim of the camp is to introduce a set of skills often used in the sport of American football while promoting the importance of physical education, team work and demonstrating the discipline to work hard towards one’s goals. The maiden Ezekiel Ansah Football Camp commenced on the 14th of July 2017 at the Presbyterian Senior Secondary Schools.


Every child deserves a chance to succeed and none more than children who start of their life journey with challenges.

Korle-Bu Donation

EAF donated beds, bed sheets, baby court, side drawers and chairs to support the Korle bu emergency children’s block.

EAF Merit Award

18 students from the University Basic School, Legon received a special award from the Ezekiel Ansah Foundation. This group of students have been able to maintain the first 3 highest positions of their class for at least 10 consecutive years. Congrats youngsters!!! .

The Founder

Ezekiel Nana Ansah is a Ghanaian who plays American Football for the Detroit Lions of the National Football League (NFL). He is the youngest of five children. Edward Richmond Ansah, his father, worked for a petroleum company and Elizabeth, his mother a nurse.Ezekiel grew up playing soccer and was introduced to the game of basketball by his brother. He developed his basketball interests and abilities at Junior High School at the Golden Sunbeam Montessori School where he had his primary education. During his years in Senior High School at the Presbyterian Boys' Senior Secondary School (PRESEC), Legon in 2004 he participated actively in the school's basketball team as well as track and field sports.
Ezekiel attended the Brigham Young University (BYU), after high school and studied Actuarial Science. He tried out for the BYU Cougars men's basketball team and was not successful. He then spent a season running track (100 and 200 meters) and competing in triple jump
He had no knowledge of American Football but with the urging of his friend he eventually took interest and tried out for the BYU Cougars Football team. With hard work he impressed the coach, Bronco Mendenhall, who saw so much potential in him and gave Ezekiel an opportunity to join the team. He played very well during his last two years at BYU.
He was drafted 5th pick by the Detroit Lions in the 2013 NFL draft. He currently plays for the Seattle Seahawks.
